New Delhi, August 31, 2018: MediaTek, the world’s 4th largest global fabless semiconductor company that powers more than 1.5 billion devices a year, wants to make technology more accessible and understandable for everyone through its MediaTek Technology Diaries series. It’s an interactive, informative yet fun series aimed at demystifying the newest technologies that are transforming our daily lives.
These next-generation technologies include Artificial Intelligence (AI), 5G, and Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT). The event was very lively and interactive thus becoming more informative. The format of this event was entirely different to the regular ones that are dull, one-sided, mechanical, and non interactive. Technology Diaries by MediaTek was launched in Delhi by inviting two celebrities from diverse fields of media and technology. It was one of the most popular Radio Jockeys (RJ) Naved interacting as a common man with two technical persons. The first tech guy on his right was the famous TechGuru Rajiv Makhni. The other was Kuldeep Malik, Director – Corporate Sales, MediaTek India.
The main philosophy and aim of MediaTek’s Technology Diaries was to allow consumers and businesses to understand the upcoming and current products of MediaTek. They tried to make technologies like AI, 5G and NB-IoT, that are being used in MediaTek’s products, easier to grasp for the consumers. These guys also showed us how they’re working to empower industries with innovative Bluetooth and cellular connectivity solutions to meet the needs of the government, utility, retail, agriculture, transportation, asset tracking sectors and many others.
One of the first chip makers participating in the 5G Device Forerunner Initiative together with China Mobile, MediaTek, in June this year said that its Helio M70 chipset based on new radio (NR) standard interface will be ready in 2019.
The Taiwanese company has recently expanded its Helio series with Helio A22 and P22 chipsets which, according to it, are power-efficient chips for the mid-market segment. Vivo Y81, Y83 and Y83 Pro are powered by Helio P22 while Helio P60 was recently released with OPPO F9 and F9 Pro and Nokia 5.1 Plus.
And that’s not where these guys stop, they’re also heading into the automotive sector and working towards self-driving technology through turnkey solutions of hardware and software. Doesn’t it just get cooler and cooler?!
It truly was one amazing event that we can’t wait to experience again!
